Shrewsbury Court Independent Hospital provides the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for people with enduring mental illness.
Shrewsbury Court Independent Hospital is located in a residential neighbourhood close to excellent transport links, shops, open countryside and local amenities including a sports centre. The hospital offers the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for working age adults in a locked environment, who suffer from enduring mental health problems who may or may not be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.
We pride ourselves in providing a high level of specialist services for our patients. We seek to do this by placing patients at the heart of everything we do.
The hospital uses the Recovery Star framework in the delivery of care and treatment, and uses various validated assessment and monitoring tools including MOHOST, HoNOS, and START risk assessment to inform clinical judgment and the care processes. All the wards have a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist and a multidisciplinary team (MDT) including qualified nurses, support workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, assistant psychologists and social workers; the MDT is also supported by a Practice Nurse.
Shrewsbury Court Independent Hospital is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the purpose of providing “care for people whose rights are restricted under the Mental Health Act”. More information can be found here.
